Oh and here's my buddy's cart from my fab class. He just finished his exhaust, hence the reason for pics. lol

Yeah, I'll leave the guess work out. They're the RCD replacement brackets I've been talking about making for some time now. They'll drop the top eye of the coil-over down 1.75" either allowing me to leave the coil adjuster where it's at, or lower it so I get some height but more ride too and not so hard on the shock itself.

Yeah pending on the results, I might keep the template around and make copies and ship them to you guys with SL with RCD conversion and us RCD guys. I really I'm align-able when I'm done. That's really what I'm worried about... That and my ball joint angle. It's not much more drop, but I don't want to kill the ball joints ya know?
I think CV angle will be ok. If not, I'll have them extended, or possibly attempt it myself.

Spent a few more hours today at school on my brackets. Gotta love the flap disc sanding wheels. I'll probably notch the bottom out and add a plate for extra support and possibly half box the top, but for now, this is what I have:
I still need to drill the mounting holes where it bolts into the shock mount, but that'll be done I think once I get the old ones off to make sure I'm getting them exact.

I got my original idea from a guy off CarDomain who did this and said he didn't run into any problems which is why I went ahead and did this. This was his design:
Like I was telling Zach, I felt better about my brackets being one piece and totally separate from the RCD ones so if I have to I can take them off. Mine look just like his only one solid piece and flush ground down.

Alright guys... Update on these brackets.
Well another member on here that hasn't been on since Nam, I saw his truck today. He's the one who asked about running the fox CO's with like a 14in coil and going with a lower spring rate. Well turns out he cut the RCD brackets (the lower half of the upper mount brackets) and moved then down on the shock tower and re bolted them.
I took my brackets to our guy around here that hooks us up and helps us out (Houston at Superior Offroad) and he really liked my brackets. Thought they are a much better idea than what they did on brian's ranger (Brian towers my truck with the fox CO's and 35's with 18's... I have pics just gimmie some time to get them up).
Thursday morning at 10am my truck goes into his shop and he's going to put them on, check my CV and ball joint angles as well as check my ball joints. I guess Brian has been running like that for a long time and hasn't had any issues with angles. So we'll see! He's going to have it done in about 2 hours, I say more like 3-4 hours and is going to undercoat the brackets when he's got them drilled out. Only charging me like $100 he said too. I just don't have the shop space and time since I can't get a hold of Austy.

Here's Brian's truck and how he got that extra couple inches outta the RCD:
You can see where he ran that spacer in the top and moved the whole bracket down. Well mine are going to act the same way, but be solid all the way up. 1/4in palte solid. No peweny spacer for me lol.
