Just winging it here !

How about a Bush Guard, w/light tabs ?

Center Console for the inside ?

Speaker Box ?

Mag Light Mount ?

Switch plate for extra switches, mounting where ever you want it ?

Review the “How-To” Section on this site and maybe there will be an idea there.

Luck on the new projects...

i think i am going to build a headack rack, going to put lights on it to go with my cargo light and maybe in with my revers lights and then maybe some big rectangular off road lights for on top, it will probly look like too much at first but its an ongoing project after i get a good job and a new truck i'm gonna make it a 4X4 i'm thinking 33's with american racing rims, 4.88 dif gears with air locker, undrcoat body, 4" suspension lift, stainless flowmster exaust, and upgrade everything under the hood

I am going to make a few comments but remember they are my opinions and we know about opinions !

Headache Rack - Good, I make one fit my Steppie, it was a std bed unit for a tool box and I cut it up to fit. Only thing I did that would be different the next time around is the length of the side rails that support the upright, make them long enough. It is easier to cut them back later but adding metal is a PITA ! I also added some stretched metal over the center opening so i can leave the rear window open on hot days.
Lighting - again everyone to their own but 6” round are more classic.

4x4 - has been done so go for it, take your time, get all of the parts together first BEFORE starting.
If you are going 4x4 from a 2x4 SAS might be in order somewhere down the trail.

33” Tire look good on a 4-5” lifted Ranger, 6” go for 35”.
Gearing - 33s = 4.56 gears; 35s = 4.88. again it is your call but these are the number that seem to work out the best.
If you go 5.0L then these gears will work great.
Lockers - go switchable, more money yes but better to drive on the street and in wet wether and snow/ice.

Undercoating - everyone things that the rubberized coating is a great thing, if it doesn’t crack or get hit then it may last but usually it gets dirt under it and rusts anyway.

S/S Flow Masters are good, DynaFlow is good too, my choice.

Upgrading everything under the hood, more air in more air out… the internal combustion engine is nothing more than an air pump, if you increase the air going in don’t forget the exhaust or the air out, equal it out and start with Headers/Exhaust.

Good Luck on the long term project and the LIST, we all have them.

yeah thanks, i'm keeping the 2.3 since i love my little 2.3 baby, with is why i want to gear it soo low,
what does SAS mean i have not clue
I have a K&N i beive racing filter with 3" pvc to the trottle body, works like a charm, disabled the egr(still need to clean behind it) removed the cat, and put a flomast super 44 on.
for undercoating, i was thinking about looking into a truck bed liner for underneath
for the switchable lockers, can you see about giving me some more information on them
i'm going with the S/S flowmast since i love the sound
and yes i still have alot of reasearch to do, such as finding out about the frames since since it seems to be a spit disscusion, somepeople say no fram mods requiered, other say they are.
and idk if round lights would even look good with my 89's body

The switchable lockers are a good device as far as I am concerned.
OX Locker is the strongest and my choice, 4 pinion setup can be actuated with cable or electric kit but $$$$$$$ a lot of money.
ARB Air Locker is good and a lot of people use them and probably will comment; I would buy this second.
Detroit and Lincoln and Aussie are lock on all the time and can cause side slippage on the rear and hard steering on the front. In my opinion not worth it unless you are racing, Off-Road Only or you just want a Detroit.
Aussie Locker is probably the easiest and can be installed in an open diff where the others are complete replacement diffs and require a reset on gears and shims.

Ok on the 4.88 with the 2.3L it makes sense.

Never done one but if you are Fabricator then it is only time.
Read the how to's.

As far as I know on the ARB it is differential swap only.

Yes, money it all it takes but you can do it if you want to.

Good Luck, ask questions before starting, there is a lot of knowledge here at this site use it.

The SAS if it is what you want then money is not the problems it is doing it right, so check all of the info you can get on the subject.
Buy good product to start and then go for it.
Chk out Pirvate.com or something like that, they have a large Fabrication Site.

Good Luck on your project, take your time and do it right teh first time aorund.

ltr,
