i kinda cut too much

i took a sharpie and went around the edge of the flare, took that off and cut about an inch inside the line, then cut notches and bent it up.. i need to sand it and paint it then put some molding stuff on it..

The best way to draw a line.. and sticking with the general perfect shape of the rangers wheel well...

with your size, get yourself a length of string equal to the top of your tire, held down by a finger.. and stretch it to the lower part of the frame where you want to start the cut on the wheel well.. then holding the string, drag a line with your sharpie tied to the string and give yourself a perfect line to work on.

i'm going to bob it and it'll take care of most of the section between the wheel well and the tail lights

What did you use to do the cut?? It looks all ragged/jagged.

Looks good though.

I use an angle grinder....but that was on a squared fender hole'd XJ and FS Chev.

i used an angle grinder about an inch from the edge, then notched it and bent it over(gave it a TON more rigidity), i wasn't really taking my time... i'm going to get that molding stuff from Walmart and use it over the edge to give it a nice clean look...

a lot of the "jagged" look is where the paint chipped off... its pretty clean looking in person

I just got one question............

Is that mud-proof duct tape on the tail light?

haha, Looks good man. Slap that molding on there and you'll be good to go. I was thinking about doing the same thing but it looks like it'd be a whole different animal doing that to the front fenders.

edit: damn, your tires are looking alot like mine....cooked

the duct tape... was because of the incident of sliding into the pole a while back.. i'm just waiting on the new tail light to get shipped from home..

the rear tires were on the front when the alignment was f'd so they're pretty much done... hopefully i can still mess up the fronts and have them swapped out.. yay discount road hazard. $25 for new $180 tires

the front does look like a biach.. i have to figure out whats going on up there before i pull the body lift, I'm thinking I'll just pull the whole fender. fiberglass ones would be cool.... until i hit the first tree or rock with it and its toast

haha exactly, I was gonna buy a set then I remembered what I did to my old flareside fiberglass bed. That thing had quite a few cracks in it with only 18k miles.

How do you get $180 tires for $25? I want in on that deal! Something you paid extra for?

yea you buy the road hazard package.. if anything happens to them and they cant repair them... as long as they have enough tread depth they will replace it for free.. the $25 is the "service fee" or something my friend said.. who has 4 new BFG muds on his truck... and has swapped them a few times

Damn, I'm gonna have to call around to find out about that. I knock my front end out of align all the time and it trashes those fronts up. I'm even more fukt with directional tires.
