Anyone watch "Trucks" today on Spike TV?
I was alittle surprised to see that they installed a STS turbo unit on the old GEN I Lightning. I forgot that the 351W in those trucks was not MAF equipped and very hard to tune for more power without spending $$ to convert it. I figured they would slap a supercharger on it and call it a day.
It's gonna sound sweet. Headers, hi-flow cats and just a turbo for a muffler. I would love to do the same thing to the Ranger!
That being said....the Big Bad BowTie will have some snort too.
Glad I watched it. I was going to go fishing today but it's raining.

Did anyone watch the final shootout? The Lighting could do doughnuts almost as good as Jimmie Johnson after a win! All it needs is front ABS and some better front springs and it would be perfect.
I forgot it's exact time, but it was like 7 sec. and 80ish MPH in the 1/8 mile. I wonder what it would do in the 1/4?
I'd take it.....

He had his own show called Gearz. I'm not sure if it's still on though.

X3. I watched him today on the speed channel. He done a V8 bar stool kit which was awsome. Basicly he ordered a kit and mounted a 305 chevy under a bar stool. It was a show talking about the largest motor you can put in the smallest thing. Trucks aint been the same since he left. They did a 08 Toyota Tundra today. It sucked. pretty much the same crap as last week. A 6 inch skyjacker lift kit, rims and tires. That seems like that is all they do. Practically no fab. just the usual. next week is really going to be kool cause Chip Foose pays a visit to Horsepower TV.

Yeah extreme 4X4 was killer today. yes that aired this morning after my usual favorite show CCR ( Chop, Cut, Rebuild). I can't wait for horsepower tv next week. Chip Foose will on there. That V8 barstool caught Stacey David by surprise. He gave it a little too much gas and did one hell of a wheelie.

Trucks today wasn't that great. They made a mall crawler out of a new Tundra.
I am really unimpressed with their "off road" trucks. Das Bronco was really the only one they did.
I remember they made a YJ more off road capable, and they took it to a spot similar to a wheeling are I've been to, which is mainly just a mud pit with some trenches that have no challenge when it's dry. Yet they acted like they built a well built wheeling machine, and they hardly tested it.
Ok, I also forgot the Cheap Jeep they did out of the XJ. That was impressive.
I do like the street trucks, and the drag s dime they did. That was cool.

Stacey's one cool dude...while i was at sema, he was beside copperhead in the gm perf booth. and he and i seriously bs'd/talked for a good 45mins about trucks. lol....more specifically the chevy, as i'm building one myself.
Trucks HAS NOT been the same ever since he left. All these new guys do is copy stacey's builds.......that 60-66 chevy = copperhead. das bronco = project big blaze. I've been watching that show since day one 10 years ago(when it was TWO hosts, not just stacey), shadetree mechanic, popular hot rodding, all this before the 'powerblock'. I'll admit it...i watch all those type of shows....even trucks still. It's a good watch. But i do have to say....thank god they dumped that wrestler guy off trucks, and that loud darker guy on muscle car.
Knightmare...you are partially correct....partially. If tnn/spike wouldn't let him build/fab all his own stuff anymore.....then why is muscle car on? why is xtreme 4x4 on? those are non-bolt on shows after all.... There hasn't been any published statements as to what happened between him and spike. Notice how all his major builds of his last few years of trucks...are HIS? A good majority of the equipment from trucks are his as well. Carried over to the gearz shop.
