My new truck anticipation thread

Truck looks awesome.
Interior looks great, I personally wouldn't get that color, but that comes with the package. To each his own
My first mod would be straight pipe
Plus I don't know much about the 6.0's or anything newer for that matter. All I know is, my dad likes his 7.3 enough that he won't trade. Which is ok because he's giving it to me once I finish his 76 Chevy

Good looking rig man! I was tempted to get a later model 6.0L CCSB in the Outlaw or Harley edition, but with the cost of the truck and mods I would eventually have it would have been too much for someone my age.
Have fun with it!
PS - I thought I was going to leave mine stock for a while too . . . that won't last long. If I'm not mistaken zabeard said that too I thought.

Doesn't fit, already tried.
Yeah, the costello leather is pretty cool I think.
And yes the seats do need conditioned. Like most King Ranch owners he ignored them.
Those 6.0's experienced A LOT of egr problems with the owners that believed it was like the ol 7.3's that didn't require you to change the oil at proper intervals. Those that maintained them, got to enjoy a good powerful engine for along time. An exhaust would really be a good idea. Turbos LOVE to breathe. You got the earlier real saddle leather seats. Some of the best leather for trucks out there. The newer seats are just like the regular leather. NOT the original saddle ones.
Also. Some of the people that have problems are the ones that do nothing but short trips with it. Diesels hate that. They like to get out their and stretch their legs. Not. All short intown little trips.
You bought a great truck! Congrats.
Anyone who thinks a diesel is slow. Definitley hasn't driven one lately. Lol

Use that on the seats every few months and they'll stay in great shape. It'll be scary when you first do it because the seat turns black for a couple minutes until it dries, but it'll make them look new again and feel soft. You can use the King Ranch brand hide feed stuff too but I use Lexol since you can pick it up locally, mink oil is also supposed to do wonders but is a big process. Nice truck

give it some time and she will let you do some things to it. you know that. though i loved mine stock too. so i understand why you want to leave it stock.
i always wanted leather but i always seem to not get it. lol. how are truck prices out there? for something like that close to 30k i suppose?

The truck was 25k but you have to remember I didn't buy it from a dealer. My boss is buying a 2011 F250 and the dealer was going to give him 25k trade in so he decided he'd rather sell it to me for that then trade it. At the dealers around here I have no doubt they would've put at least 33k on this truck.

Yeah we'll give her time but don't hold your breath lol, it was tough enough convincing her I needed a bigger truck! And the leather is nice, this is the first vehicle I've had with leather.

I really like that truck though, ive always liked the 05-07 body style so much, i just never cared for the interior which is why i wanted an 08+ truck.

yeah 25k is a great price, but since the 6.7s came out almost all the powerstrokes have plummeted in price IMO. great for people to buy but not great to sell. my 6.4L lost a ton of value once the 6.7s came out.

thats a killer price for that truck. but its so weird seeing a king ranch thats not two tone... honestly the first one ive ever seen. i was certian they were all two tone from the factory. unless your boss painted that one? the 6.0 is a strong motor once all of the pesky problems are taken care of. but man that truck is gorgeous.. after i saw your teaser i didnt wanna open this tread again. my dad had a 2003 250 king ranch and sold it. man i miss that truck. but congrats man. its a bueaty.

I would keep towing with it occasionally. The ones that tow seem to be the ones that last the longest. Never heating it up makes a mess out of the intake with the EGR, avoid idling time and it should hold up a little better. I've pulled a few EGR valves out that are so carboned up it's ridiculous. I vote at least an EGR delete.
