Can i use blue 194 LED's in my 2002 ranger or is every year different? Where do you get them?

Well you have to take the dash face off (just snaps, screws at ashtray), pull the gauge cover (clear plastic), pry needles off with a fork, pull gauges out (need to memorize/mark where they rest at), pull the clear plastic off the back of each gauge "panel", then just install the new lights and sand down the green paint with 320-80 grit sandpaper. It took me about an hour to pull everything apart (first time), about 20 mins to sand everything down, then glued it (some of the gauges' paper has to separate) with Testors plastic model glue over-night and put it together in the morning. Everything works fine, the HVAC (heating/vent) panel is alot different, DO NOT try to sand down the paint, the black that you see from the front and the green are all painted on so if you try to sand the grren off you take the green and black off. For it you either have to put bright enough lights behind it to "overcome" the green darkens it. I'm workin out making a new sheet/display because I buggered mine up, hope this helps, I'm young and this was well worth the effort if it means anything . . .

Here is a post by the guy that inspired me to do it:

question for trigger01

Trigger01 I loved your interior pics towards the beginning of this thread. That explorer console looks awesome!! May I ask where you got the console from?

How do you get the title of the song/band to display. I have pretty much the same head unit and it will say it unable to read.

Here is mine after my dual A-Pillar Pods (Trans Temp, and Oil Press) and my Sirius:

I got the same Eurolite blue LED 194s for the A-Pillar gauges as in my dash, I think it looks decent.

The only interior modifications I have done is swapped in a set of '91 Explorer gauges. I also swapped my speedometer head and the gear indicator cover into the guages so I can keep my own mileage.

What I have planned is as follows:

-Convert interior color to black
-Replace shredded vinyl flooring with black carpet
-Cloth bucket seats
-Hurst shifter
-Some sort of center console

my buddy's 01 has smaller bulbs in the HVAC controls, we never got to the dash itself, but from what he has researched the cluster bulbs are the 194 LEDs though.

here is my only interior mod really

My favorite interior mod so far are my seats....

I also have an Exporer OHC, dual lighted sunvisors, an Explorer dome light, auto dimming rear view mirror and auto-lamp capability (which is wired in but I never use) 20% window tint, 4 Pioneer 3-way 6x8s, and an Alpine head unit with Sirius Satellite Radio and an I-pod (all interfaced with the head unit). I have done the "auto-down" passenger window mod also. I also now have exterior foglights with a factory interior radio bezel and switch that makes it all look like it came there.

I also have L2ENs interior mod in the form of a Glock thanks to the handy concealed carry license and I hope to never have to use it.

Here are my least favorite interior mods:

I love our two dogs, but I hate having to haul them anywhere in my truck.
