Bilsteins and hella headlamps came in!!
So the bilstein leveling and rear shocks came in over the weekend and so did the lights. Installing the headlamps tomorrow and rear shocks, gonna have a shop do the front. One question is how do the front struts level? They came with some metal rings but not sure how that raises anything. Can anyone explain this? I just like to know how stuff works, from what I gathered before I seen them In person I thought they were like a twist adjust kinda like what raptors have. Will have pics when it's done. Also got some 17x9 matte black procomps wrapped in 33-12.50 Cooper stts. I've done more to this truck in the two months I've had it than the previous fx4 I had for two years lol

Oh ok. That's what I thought, just couldn't figure out how the spring was actually supported with the parts it came with till I found out u reused some factory parts other than spring.
And yes I did. Traded ol blue for a screamin yellow terminator with lots of mods. Started having fixable issues that I didn't feel like messin with and missed the truck so traded it on a single cab 2007 fx4 flareside black with dsg rockers. Great little truck, 92k miles is high but it drives as good as my old one with almost 40k on it. It did come from mid to northern Ohio so there's a little rust on it but not on the body or anything.
I put in a drop in k&n air filter and i got 20mpg this past weekend when I went to Murray state university by ky lake to visit my gf. I thought those numbers where unheard of in a gas v8 4x4 lol. The 33/12.50/17 will prolly hurt a little though

Waiting till it's all done. The trucks in the shop putting the front bilsteins on. Was gonna take em off and have them just swap the struts out of the coilpack but they only charged 40 more for soon it all so it cost 100 to get them put on. The rear I did the other day along with putting in the Hellas, front and rear ford badge, and recon third brake light. Tires are in but wheels havent got there yet so waiting on those. Once it's together there shall be pics. I also pulled out the $1000 touch screen/navi/DVD pioneer head unit outta my old mustang and put it in my truck lol. Thank you previous owner for being dumb enough to spend that much on a unit and give me the stock cd player with it lol.

I can already tell a big difference in the rears. Man were the stockers wore out lol. I could compress them easily with one hand. Installing the bilsteins was a bitch, took all me and my dad had to compress them and hold it there to slide the bolt through and he's a monster lol. Alot stiffer ride but drives better
Next project is to get the plugs changed. Is $206 a bad price for a ford dealer to change plugs if that's including plugs. I'd rather not do it taking the chance of breaking a plug or 8. They said they've had really great luck with them and the most they had break on one truck was 7 and it only happened once. They only charge $25 per plug if they break

We did that without prybar. Just our hands. It wasn't banded short enough so that was the problem. While banded it was past the lower mount. I didn't know these were rcd shocks and bilstein just makes them for em. I called bilstein to see if i installed boot up or down and the sales person said to call rcd bc they just make it. I was told boot down by them and several ppl on other forums said boot down is better
