99 XLT, are the windows factory tinted?
So when I got my Ranger, it has been tinted, almost blacked out dark.
1) I'm sure that's illegal in my state (I believe 25% is the max; and I never remember is that blocking 25% or allowing 25% ie how dark is that?)
2) It's hard to see out of the truck, even in daylight hours. Drive into the sun, and it turns them into a mirror, I can't see behind me at all. And since the main purpose of this truck is to teach a teen driver, I think it's too dark.
So google was no help, some windows look factory tinted in the back, some are not.
So what are the chances a 99 XLT supercab stepside has the rears tinted?
I found tips on removing the film (steam it off) and the fronts I can see thru some pin holes they are clear.

That's my plan eventually; but I want to be tinted all around, just don't have $150 to replace it at this time. Teen driver doesn't have a permit yet so don't need it today.
But I did scrape off a corner, and it is factory tinted! Yay. Now to steam off the old stuff, only need less than $50 for the fronts.
