body lift, is it that hard?

ok, i dont know too much about trucks and im usually afraid to work on mine. i just got 31 inch tires and i now want a lift. its a 98 so its IFS, which means im goin with a body lift since im a broke 19 year old ha. this is the lift im looking at. Summit SUM-7888300 - Summit Racing® 7800000 Body Lift Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com i also know ill need a shift extender but anyway, is this like extremely difficult? and do any regular shops install these? thanks alot

31's and body lift... um NO.. just leave it till the tires wear out you just did that little backwards

If you have 31's don't body lift it it will look stupid. 31's fit stock...

yea thats what i figured, but now that i finally got a little bigger tires i want to make it bigger, the tires were only 250$ i got a great deal so if i maybe found a good deal on 33s i'd probably get the lift thanks for your opinions guys

your going to want 33s if you do a body lift

31s and a bodylift= ewww.

Its not that hard. I did it in my garage with a jack, a couple sockets, ratchet, breaker bar, torch and a impact wrench. Impact isn't needed, just makes it easier.

I agree, it isn't hard. Just time consuming.
I did mine outside with the same tools as trent, minus the impact. If you can turn a wrench and follow directions, you can do it. Just set aside plenty of time and get a friend or two to help.

thanks alot guys, im going to wait till i can buy some 33's before i lift it after hearing what you guys say, since i just got the 31s ill be waiting a while before the 33s, im thinking by next summer though ill lift it and sell the 31s
