Finally, photos of my inherited 1998 Ford Ranger XLT

Well last year I helped purchase my father a new 2008 Ford Escape. He loved the car and asked me if I wanted his old truck.

At the time all we had in the family was a 2005 Volvo S80 and a 2006 Mercedes Benz C55 AMG. Previously my wife and I spoke about wanting to get a truck so I wouldn't have to put sod in the back of my Benz like I did once.

So he gave it to me and it's a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT bare bones. Manual everything, Green with willow interior. So it's been 7 months since I got it and I have since lost my job and sold the AMG and now this is my primary vehicle so I can save up for a Porsche.

I've cleaned it up and here's what I did, enjoy!:
  • Steam cleaned the interior and scrubbed all the plastics
  • Claybared the truck
  • Porter Cabled the entire truck using PB SSR2.5
  • Klasse AIO'd the truck
  • P21S waxed the truck
  • Put my 2006 Badges on that I've had for 7 months

Yeah I'm going to get some 15" wheels from another member here. I just gotta go pick them up and the 14" tires are almost worn enough to negate buying 15" tires.

Mines an auto :(

What no pics of the willow interior? Truck looks good man, but the cap isn't doing it for me on the stepside.

RazorsEdge-

I'll get photos tomorrow of the interior however I will say that the damn armrest is worthless!

Yeah I'm not a big cap guy but it was on the truck when I got it and it allows the dogs to get in the back and be protected. And the cap actually has helped protect some cargo.

That Ranger looks like it just left the dealer! I like the green, but not feeling the willow interior. My friend had a 96 Grand Marquis with a leather willow interior. Just as bad as burgundy lol.

Clean truck (just like mine, manual everything and only 1 year difference), sorry to hear about losing your job.
