Riding Mower

I am considering buying a Riding Mower and was wondering if it's possible to fit one in the bed of the Ranger. Anybody have any experience with this and what type, size of mower would fit of any?

Thanks,
Foamy

2010 XLT Ranger
4 Cyl 2.3L - Auto

I should have Mentioned its a Styleside bed, and yes, I do have a bed extender (OEM) and I was looking at a 42" Size deck for the riding mower.

Thanks Everyone.. Looks like 42" decks and lower will fit. I do have ramps and a Bed extender. If and when i Buy the mower, I'll post a PIC of it in the truck..

Thanks,
Foamy

Unless it is a tiny one, no way it'll fit. You'd be better off borrowing someones trailer. It's alot easier to load and unload that way also.

You'll need a trailer. Unless you get a deck size that will fit between the wheel wells.

I put mine in the back all the time, and I even have a toolbox in it. It's an older Craftsman with a 42" deck. Have to keep the tailgate down though and strap it in.

I had mine on there all the time, it was a 42" deck model. No bigger would fit though, the 42" deck would wedge into the bed liner.

I put a newer Craftsmen rider with a 42 inch deck on it. Won't go past the wheel wells, so i just strap it in. I lift it in the truck by myself.

Put it in upside down. It'll fit perfect then.

I've done it a number of ways. Easiest is to get near a hill. Stand in the bed of the truck, pick one end up, drag it on. Get out, lift the other end up and push it up the rest of the way.

If there's no hill, then pick up one end on the ground nearest the tail gate, have someone back the truck up, and set it on the tailgate.
