F-150 gone, Hello 2008 Escape

Well it was time to get something with more than two seats. So the truck went in for an appraisal and they gave me $26 less than I owed on it.

I got a 2008 Escape Limited 4wd. Tungsten grey or something. It is loaded w/ everything. Black interior, leather, power everything, power seat, sirius, message center, heated seats, dual climate control, in dash cd6/mp3, moonroof, power liftgate, chrome 17's.

I got it for under dealer price w/ the x-plan. W/ immobilizer, touch of class and 5 year warranty and free maintenance for a year.

I love it, the wife is starting to like it.

It has the 3.0 Duratec, 200 horses. It has some nice *****, can't complain. Pics will come tomorrow.

Maybe, just maybe.

The ride is nice, I can't complain at all. Gotta get used to all the gadgets. Need to get a cord for my ipod too.

Since the new bodystyle came out recently, they have been selling like hot cakes.

since you just got rid of your F150, i've got a few quick questions, if you don't mind...

i started a thread mentioning that i'll be looking at an F150 this weekend. it's 2004 FX4. Zach mentioned that he's supersticious about first year productions with new models, etc....

how was your 2004??? anything go wrong with it that hasn't repeated in years following? have you heard anything about any other 2004's that were having problems??? sorry to kind of hijack your thread, lol.

ITs not a problem. The only problem I had, that I didn't cause was that there was a weird noise coming from behind the drivers side vent near the door. Other than that I didn't have any problems. Never went to the dealership for anything in 44k miles. I got good gas mileage, comparatively so to other trucks. But mine had the 4.6 and a few mods and it was lowered.

Good job staying with Ford. Looks like a nice ride.

BTW: do you think it has enough controls for the AC, radio, etc... LOL

We have an '07 Mercury Mariner (same as an Escape) in that same color. Ours is the last year before they did all the slight interior and exterior changes that yours has. I love it and it is pretty fast with the V6.

I love the 08's......they take some style concepts from the Bronco concept truck Ford made a few years ago.

That's a pretty slick SUV. It is no wonder why they are so popular.
