Easy on the boy. He's excited he achieved a major goal in his life. However, with that attitude, most departments will eat him alive.
The national curiculum (sp) used to be FF1, FF2, FF3. They did away with FF3 several years ago and just combined everything into FF1 & 2. I still have a vaild FF3 certificate. The new guys look at that & wonder how do you get a 3, lol.
EMT-C = EMT- Cardiac. It's basically the same as EMT- Intermediate (atleast in Va). Several states still have it (why I don't know), but most are just using EMT-I in place of it.
FX4-- CONGRATS on joining the brotherhood !!!!!! There is no better job in the world. Just understand, your "learning" has JUST BEGUN. You will learn something new every day of your career. Keep you mouth shut, your eyes & ears open, and never miss an opportunity to learn something. This is a dangerous job that's constantly changing. It's a helluva lot nicer going home every morning than have your family visit you in the hospital or funeral home.

I'm still scratching my head. I'm glad you aren't in my department, you wouldn't last very long with that attitude. I wouldn't want you on my team, thats for sure. If I have to follow you around this thread cleaning up after your evassive, instulting BS, i sure wouldn't trust you at a real incident. But gee, congradulations.
I'm not going to lock this since I would hope the FF's that aren't imature children can carry on a conversation in a civil manner. FX4, you've had your warning. If it contiues......
And I'll give you a chance to explain this in detail before I try to pick it apart and point out how impossible and inacurrate it is.
