Level II with non locking differential?
I'm a newbie to Rangers but as long as I've read about the Level II Ranger's I've always read that they came with locking Torsen differentials in the rear end. I started calling salvage yards around KS looking for a Level II rear end and one yard said they had one out of an 04 Level II but it was non locking. I assumed this meant that the salvage yard didn't know what the hell they were talking about so I got the VIN and had a friend at the local Ford dealership run it. He said it specifically stated that the truck was a Level II with an 8.8 and Non locking rear end. Anyone else ever ran into this before?

no biggie, they just told me the weight of the friction modifier screwed with the moving of the gears and thats why I was having problems with it. now that I dont have friction modifier (lube tech originally put it in without telling me) in there it honestly seems to work better. I have no personal experience with differentials, just relaying what torsen told me.
