89 extended cab seats

OK, I have tried to search for this info and have not been able to find it so I would really appreciate some help.

My 89 extended cab driver seat is shot and needs replaced. I would like it replaced with a seat that has a high back. I had a 02 Ranger and I know that had a highback seat. I am looking for used seats and need to know what year seats will fit in my 89 that has the high back. What other model seats will fit? Were to find good used seat?

You can make anything fit if you try hard enough.
I can't remember if the 89's had that long track that goes behind the seat for the seatbelt, but even then i know some guys who've cut that off. take a look at how the seat mounts to the floor in front and in back.
Newer style seats like 02+ have two bolts on front, two in back with a long arm coming off the inside for the seatbelt.

Thans for the reply. I don't know if the bolts are in the same place but there are 2 front, 2 rear and the long arm for the seatbelt on the inside. I agree that if motivated you can make anything fit but my concern is the width of the cab and newer seats.

There is a write-up in the tech library on The other Ranger Site which explains which seats bolt right in.

thanks for the reply, I will check it out. After reading on a number of sites I guess I need to spend a day at the pull your own yard with a measuring tape and camera to see what will fit
