Headlight switch bulb replacement

Could someone let me know what exactly the bulb needed for replacement is? If possible I'd like to get a blue one if not I can work something out with painting the backs of the sections on the switch.

I already have it out im just unsure of the replacement bulb necessary.

Oh and if anyones got links with decent prices post em up as well.

The last time I replaced of these, the bulb itself was like 2 or 3 bucks. The way they get their color is a little blue or green sleeve that is placed over the bulb. I have looked for these before and I was only able to find them at the stealer, but that was a while ago now so they may be more widely available now.

grab a couple if you can, the ones I used didn't last all that long cuz they were on from the time you turned the ignition on until you turned it off, in other words, all the time. Now whether this has changed on the newer models or not i do not know. Just a little heads up for ya.

You can get them at any auto parts store. They look like a 904 bulb but much smaller. Pretty much the size of an LED. Use a pliers and very very very carefully pull the bulb out of the plastic holder.

EDIT: Its a Sylvania 2721 bulb.

I thought they were not replaceble. Do you have any pics of this said bulb and plastic holder. I was under the impression that a new bulb would need to be soldered in.

Well I have replaced all of the ones in my cluster along with the ones in the headlight switch and the 4x4 switch. If I ever remove my cluster again, I will get you some pictures.

My light has been out for as long as i've owned the truck. I think I'll just use a LED whenever I get around to it. I'd like to see more pics of the switch and LED install.

I know this is an old thread but I was poking around online and found these: Product Listing - CAR

They say they replace 2721 bulbs. I may order one and see how they do.

Andrew

Are you sure it's a 3/4 led?

Found this on super bright leds. Probably going to replace mine that's burned out.

NeoWedge series LED Lamp
T1-1/4 NeoWedge base LED bulb for indication lamp applications. Lamps consists of non-removable standard LED or High Power SMD LED. 3mm LED in NEO3 lamp; 4mm LED in NEO4 lamp; 5mm LED in NEO5 lamp. 12 Volt DC. 100/120 degree beam pattern

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...nstrument.html

They have 3 sizes, 3mm, 4, and 5mm.

Thanks,
-Nigel
