idk bout mickey thompson tires
I got 33x12.5015 mickey thompson mtzs and i just came back from town fair tire cuz i had a rusty screw lodged underneath a tread block. They only have 4 k on them. Idk i thought a tire like that would be virtually unprentable. Kinda losing faith in mickey thompson tires

Tons of people come into the BMW dealer with nails? Those tires are $250-$300 per tire. Doesn't mean they're nail-proof. I and many others I know have had just fine success running M/T slicks. They sure aren't nail-proof though lol.

After a post like that, I lost some more faith in humanity.
But, then I saw this VVVV and a little of my faith was restored.
Shane's right, tires are made of rubber, just because it's a Mickey Thompson doesn't mean a screw is going to run out of the road before ya run over it. lol

i said KINDA losing faith, not fully. Besides my lil screw mishap i have been happy with them. drove threw a couple of snow storms up here, one 4 inch and one 9 i nch storm and i couldnt be happier with how they performed. Everybody said i should take them off because i would be a huge sled out there, but i have been everything but. I passed by a Tacoma that was stuck in my work parking lot and frigginn thing had 35s at least. idk maybe fx4 wannabe is right and i should screw my sack back on

SERIOUSLY??
dude, its a TIRE, a rusty nail will go into any tire.. if you're going to bash on an AMAZING tire then find something else wrong with it.. I sure can't, i'm on my second pair and I'll be willing to put money on the fact that mine have been beat on and abused about 100x worse than yours have..
He said it.
yea? they are a softer tread.. softer treads get torn up easier, softer treads also perform lots better offroad.
thank you.
Thats what i keep telling people! I had never driven in snow or ice before last winter and i did just fine in 2wd with the MTZs

Cooper STT's do well in the snow as well..
I did notice in Arizona all the guys running them on the rocks had issues with the Micky T's MTZ chucking and getting torn due to there soft compound.. I've heard good reviews from the guys that regularly run them on the street..
I would rather re-shoe the truck in Micky T's than BFG's any day..
But im partial to my coopers..

I've seen IROKS with chunks missing, boggers, Toyo MTs, my old Nittos.. just about every tire i've seen on the rocks gets torn up in one way or another.
