Launching a boat...

So, this may be a completely and utterly stupid question, but here's the deal: At some of the shallower boat launches around here, my exhaust pipe will end up under the surface of the water while I'm launching my boat. Is this an issue?
I'm wanting to take my boat out for a unit activity on Sunday, and the only launch at that lake is one of the shallowest around here. I don't want to hurt my baby.

someone correct me if im wrong but no it wont hurt i would just leave it running the pressure coming out of your exahust should keep the water out and make bubbles in the water i forged water in my old truck up to the front bumper (moving very slow)

it'll be fine

i had my 87 in mud up past the fenders and all you could see of the exhaust was the bubbles

the pressure from the exhaust will keep the water out

Ok, that's kinda what I figured, but I wasn't sure. I wish I knew nearly as much about car engines as I do turbine engines. lol. I'm around them more. Thanks guys.

no there is not enough pressure at idle to keep water out but your muffler should have a small drain hole in the bottom. water shouldnt go past the muffler
