steering wheel 'shimmy' while braking (rocks back and forth)
ya, like slowing to a stop from like 40, my steering wheel like 'wobbles' a lil bit, not alot, like, if u go from ur truck to mine, u may not notice it, but it feels like its turning from right to left about1/2 inch..... what can this be from - oh an there are no 'noises'

the side to side movement when the out of round portion hits the top near the caliper and caliper brackets, it transfers the movement into the upper control arm as well as the lower and into the rack and pinion which comes back up the steering shaft, to the steering wheel and into your hands!

"warped rotors" is actually a misnomer. more than likely you problem is uneven pad transfer.
as the brakes do thier job, pad material is distributed across the face of the disc.
