steering wheel 'shimmy' while braking (rocks back and forth)

ya, like slowing to a stop from like 40, my steering wheel like 'wobbles' a lil bit, not alot, like, if u go from ur truck to mine, u may not notice it, but it feels like its turning from right to left about1/2 inch..... what can this be from - oh an there are no 'noises'

warped rotors.

cheap piece of crap stock rotors basically.

you can have them turned but you would be better to replace them

the pedal doesnt pump just the steering wheel like wobbles, why would it make the steering wheel wobble a lil bit?

the side to side movement when the out of round portion hits the top near the caliper and caliper brackets, it transfers the movement into the upper control arm as well as the lower and into the rack and pinion which comes back up the steering shaft, to the steering wheel and into your hands!

"warped rotors" is actually a misnomer. more than likely you problem is uneven pad transfer.

as the brakes do thier job, pad material is distributed across the face of the disc.

Make sure your lug nuts are tight. Last set of tires I had put on I was driving home and had a vibration when I was on the brakes and was worse if I was braking and turning at the same time. When I got home I checked the nuts and the drivers side front was loose.

well i do get like a grinding noise on the front drivers side when turning. my buddy was supposed to look at it, geuss ill hafta take to a shop and have them blow smoke up my butt.
