ATV's fit on the of a ranger straight bed

ok so i have a outlander 800 bike i just bought. i was wondering if the bike can fit on a straight bed ranger. measuring from outer most of the tire to tire is about 54 inches. and if you pics of bikes on your bed just post them up. to see if its worth buying a ranger

No need to make 2 threads, some one will answer eventually. People do put quads in the beds of their Rangers all the time, it depends on the size of the bike though.

We just had a thread like this a couple months ago.

It should fit, but it will be VERY tight. I wouldn't reccomend it, but I have an 07 700 grizz on 29.5's and some other stuff, I wouldn't touch it anywhere near the bed of my ranger!

I have to ask you though...how is your bike 54" wide? Mine is almost 55" wide and I have 29.5's and SRA (5+2 I believe) offset wheels (can't get too much wider w/o ext. a arms.

My advice, either way (ranger or f150) buy a trailer. 5x8 will be perfect. I HATE putting a bike in the bed, espeically when it's broken ;(

I live in s. fla too...where you riding at? Holey lands is going to be closed soon, you still ride at 8th st.

yea im still at the lake by 8th street. i pretty much just measured the outer most of the front tires to the outer most of the other tire and got a little more than 54. thats why i said 54 inches. i also go to max's fish camp alot. we should try to meet up one day

My friends (02Rangermayhem) honda trx450r fit in his bed no problems.

He had a toolbox, so the front wheels went on top it that, and he strapped it down.

Didn't need a ramp either. Two people could easily lift it up.

I see you live in miami, where do you take your ATV's out?

HolyLand?

He goes to 8th street and Macks Fish Camp a lot. I usually ride out at Holey Lands though. It's closing July 1st so I have to get as much riding in as possible.

It will work. You can get a bike in the bed of the ranger. As long as it's low and you have ramps, you can do it, not saying it won't be tight.

An F-150 will be a lot easier, but the ranger will do. I've seen it plenty of times.

My 2001 Polaris Magnum didn't fit in the back of my ranger with the tailgate closed. Also one wheel had to drive over a wheel well. It really is 1000x easier to use a trailer.
