it's a resistor. the same kind you can buy at radio shack for $.03. And the same kind that a magazine recently tested and found to DECREASE horsepower. It tries to fool the engine into thinking the air is colder than it is, causing the engine to increase fuel in the cylinders... that's what they say anyways. In reality, the advanced engine sensors and whatnot find a way around it and all it does is slow down the process.

Save your money for a bamachips tuner.

let me ask you this. you have 20 different cars on the road, by 6 different major manafactuers, yet this one resistor claims to be able to work with all of them. Did you know, you can have the exact same car as some one else, yet YOUR car will act differently? no one knows why, its just the way it is, so, how can 1 resistor fit 40 different cars, with all the same results? simply put, it cant. if you want in increase your performance, you need to get a custom programmed programmer for your vehical, and they are expensive, like 3-$400 not, the custom part, because each vehical is different, one tuner isnt gonna work with all the vehicals, its just not possible, well it is, but it would cost like, thousands. heh

This resistor is "compatible" with all the other vehicle makes and models because of the concept used to meter the air flowing into an internal combustion engine.

"The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor (or Air Charge Temperature [ACT] sensor prior to 1992) is nothing more than an Inverted Thermistor. It's output is Increasing Resistance for a Lower Temperature (voltage drops w/ temp). As air temperature decreases, the risk of detonation (spark knock or pinging) also decreases. Therefore, a more aggressive timing curve can be used without risk of detonation. It also tells the computer that the inbound air is more dense and the ECU adds more fuel (Gasoline or E85) to the mix (A/F Ratio is enriched). "

Click here and you'll only spend $1.00 doing the same thing as this guy is selling on Ebay.

But the point we're trying to prove is that this is a completly useless mod.
