Lookin for some insight on how this works!

So, bought on one these....

What do you mean low? I have one but haven't used it yet. Wouldn't you want it to hang over the edges so no water gets between the tent and the bed?

Oh, could that be because of the fenders? Maybe you have it pulled down too hard, are you able to loosen up a little and see if that changes anything?

Get ahold of Scott (Dixie) he posted pics of it set up and he might remember how it strapped down before he sold it to me.

Yeah after looking further I think you have the rear straps too tight. See in the factory photo how the tent stops at the top of the bed whereas yours goes all the way down past the taillights. Try and adjust that.

Also after looking at the pics, I am undecided if I will leave it attached or tear it down each day while at silver lake...

In the OEM pic it looks like the tent corners are resting inside the four tie-down points on the truck bed. The middle point pulls the tent outward allowing rain to roll down the truck bed outside. I don't have one of these, just my observations. Best of luck.

Looks like if the front was tightened and rear loosened it would sit right.

Mine cost me $75-$80. Nate it looks like from your pics you have it strapped down too hard. The rear arch pole above the door looks like its missing in your pic. Whereas with Scott it's there and helping keep structure.

That's probably why, it looks like that is the rear support.

I bought it used.

EDIT: I don't have the ford one, mine is aftermarket and Scott's old one. I haven't looked yet but I am certain I have that rear support pole. Yours looks like I mentioned about being too tight.
