looks like I got my work cut out for me!

Went to the junk yard today and picked up a pair of door panels out of an '11 ranger with all power options to convert my truck, auto dimming mirror with microphone built in for hands free, complete eatc out of a '98 explorer and the thing I'm most stoked about is the full center console with sub out of a ranger! Now I just gotta find the time to install all this stuff

Sounds like you'll be busy! Going to be nice when it's all in there.

The '11 door panels are power, nice the square buttons are a score.
I am looking for the buttons and the inserts myself.

If you don't mind how much did the door panels run ?

Scrambler: $75 each loaded with bezel, armrest, switches and wiring pigtails. Try car-part.com thats usually where I buy my junkyard stuff from. You'll find a lot more there then you would on eBay.

I went to the yard only looking for the eatc and mirror, just couldn't pass up the panels and console. I never find this kind of stuff round here. Should have played the lotto yesterday lol

I found a Ranger center console w/ sub once at a junkyard (the truck was rolled on the test drive apparently! Shame too, it was a yellow Level II). They didn't want to separate the console from the seats. In hind sight, I should have pillaged all the parts I could off of it, but I only took the front skid plate. I went back for the tow hooks, and the truck was gone.

Anyway, how does the install work out pertaining to the sub? I thought they were a pain to get working with anything but the proper factory head unit?

I could care less about the sub itself. For me all its going to do is act as a bracket for the console. I'll take my thunderform with 2 10s over the factory 6" sub. I too ran across a full console one on car-part.com a while back but the accident was so bad when they pulled the seats they found the console was badly cracked so I passed on it.

Ah! I get it. I'm not big into car audio stuff, and I don't want my limited interior space more limited by extra speaker enclosures, so the little sub in the console seems like a good idea. If it would work, that is.

Believe me my junkyard adventures around here never go this well. Typically when you do find rangers in the yard here they are beyond stripped.

Hey,
Did you get the 2011 power door switches in place ?
Was wondering how the connectors and/or the wire colors matched up ?
If you have done this can you post what you did to match up the switches and if the door inserts fit the earlier doors.
Thanks.

One last thing, are the door switches lighted and did you do that too ?
