Youll love a subie, a buddy of mine blew his wrx's engine in january and is getting it rebuilt now with a sti trans. But when it was running itll kick you back in your seat. I cant wait to feel it with the sti trans and even faster acceleration.

 

yeah the sti trans is the one big mod I'll be doing to this one. As the rest of the car is fully built for anything I need to do. I'm going to be going more rally style than street with it. Hit up some local rallycross events and get my dirt bug that way

Have you seen the "hella UNFLUSH" wrx? Im sure I will get a wrx at some point and im gonna go the same route. Toss on a rally light bar, some mud terrains, and a small lift and its good to go.

 

I wouldnt take a modded car if I was you, but thats just me... Scoobs are nice, but a modded one would be a sketchy buy.

 

If he is already going to mod it might as well buy a modded one and make it better

 

I'd normally not, but its a fresh rebuild with built internals. And just a few minor go fast parts, Cobb tuner and dyno tuned. Stage 2 3 Puck race clutch just broke in and the motor has 100 miles on it. It was his baby and mine is his dream truck. I ain't scured..**** I own a diesel

Plus the stuff he has into it is way more money than I'd ever be able to put into it.

I said built internals, so yeah rods, bearings, arp studs etc. It was never blown, just tore tore down for internals to handle the power. It'll have shop receipts, plus I'd rather have a clean built block than a beat on stock motor

And Korey I do but their on my phone, basically looks like a stock blue with Gold wheels sti with a carbon hood

 

I don't blame you. What use do you really have for a prerunner Ranger in Minnesota hahaha. If you lived out West it'd be a different story. I would do a build like HighRoller if I were you.

Id rather buy one and mod it myself so I know what was done and how it was done and how it was driven after it was done.

Well, if you have money to burn and it breaking down wont break your bank. Hope for the best, expect the worst.

 

The reason I like modded is because of cost. Lets say you buy a STI with $15k put into the engine. Now you can spend you money on other trinkets for your sti.

Lets say in 10k miles it blows up, dosen't really matter if you where going to put $15k into the engine anyways.

So much cheaper to buy built

 

Yeah I'm willing to take the chance. Also after rebuild its only had dyno/ breakin miles on it. Plus its shop built and not jimbob shed built.

as long as you have tools and some mech. know-how. nothing is really too bad. I just hear getting at things like the spark plugs etc are a pain just cause of the way the boxer motor is setup

 

 

They are a pain to access but its over rated hearing that. Still a pain tho but the best thing to have is a T handle socket
