i too got my red top about 9 months ago (mid december)... i'm DEFINATELY going to make sure all connections are proper tomorrow afternoon when i get home from work.
and by the way.... that's really retarded that the fire fighters somehow put a hole in the door... looks like a bad ciggarette burn or something stupid like that.

i found an 03 LII with 19,000miles, just checking out my options. i'd rather it be a ranger so i can use leftovers, besides i loved my lil truck...That yellow truck has a trailmaster lift, I'm not a big fan of torsion bar relocation lifts. No offense superlift and trailmaster guys.
I wanna see the fire report so bad. I just have this feeling that it wasn't an accident, I think someone sabatoged it....maybe it's all in my head too.

It's Optima's MSDS sheet. It says:
"Section 6 - Fire-fighting Measures
Extinguishing media - Multipurpose dry chemical or multipurpose CO2 .
Fire fighting procedures - Evacuate area. Self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn to prevent possible inhalation of acid mists, smoke and decomposition products in a fire. Remove all ignition sources. Cool battery(s) to prevent rupture.
Unusual fire and explosion hazards - Hydrogen gas may be produced and may explode if ignited. Remove all ignition sources. Ventilate area."

holy **** man. I really feel your pain, hope everyhting works out for you, and you can get another truck. thats just horrible.
a couple winters back my friend was snowmobiling, he came back to his house and parked it went in his house and heard an explosion. the thing freakin blew up! It was over vacation, and i was trying to call him all the time, nobody picked up the phone, i sledded up there and saw his ruined, burnt up sled. and the shed it was by was all burnt up too, so i thought he had died. he was ok though thankfully, but scary stuff...

Wow man, sorry to hear about this.
If you are still having trouble with your insurance company not returning calls, tell them that you will notify the state insurance commissioner. They will probably get really nice after that. We had the same problem when our Ford Contour was totalled. They quit returning calls and we had a non-driveable car. Finally mentioning the state ins. commissioner got them to return calls and resolve their **** up. They will try their best to screw you over, even though you pay their bills, so be prepared to fight back.

Trust me man. I'm not going to shut up until I get a check to buy a replacement Ranger FX4 with under 30k(as previously mentioned). I got the liability form and release form faxed to me around 5p. The claims adjuster was supposedly in his office til 7p. I called approx 15 times, leaving five voicemails. I left his immediate supervisor two messages. They're not gonna stop hearing from me until I get what I deserve. This was my baby for God's sakes. I hope they realize I'm not going to go away...
