New horn setup... Check it out.. Pics

So some of you may have seen my thread on the fittings I bought from poweraire.com..

Well I got them today... Let's just say I have a lot of extras... That's what I wanted anyways...

I bought 30... and I used 8 lol...

I love the fittings! I got it all hooked up and went to a gas station and "tried" filling up the tank, but they only push at max like 65psi... So I left it at that. Come to find out in the rain, I didn't tighten the fittings down at the valve so I had a leak. After class I came home and tightened her up and now it's ready for air... Or should I say my Viair 380c coming on FRIDAY!!! WOOHOO!!!

Here's the new setup..

1/2in throughout the whole setup now. 1/4 to the gauge and now I'm running air brake line rated at I think 300psi burst instead of the roofing air line I was running... Much easier!

Nice... I'm gonna run it off a relay, I've already got it all setup under the hood, I've got one more port left on my aux fuse panel I did... I'm gonna hide everything in wire loom once I'm done, I'd like to wrap the hose in it too...

that's what I did, it runs down inside the wheel well to under the cab in the little pocket thing under the doors to the bed where they pop through the gromets in to the bed

Yeah I have everything ran already... I just need to get the compressor so I can start hiding everything with loom... Its gonna look good! I'm gonna make some custom hold down straps for the tank and compressor... and line them with rubber... It's gonna be sweet... Since this will be the last compressor I have to buy haha

sweet, now you need to get rid of the zip ties on the horns lol. I have to run another switch in the cab because right now It's wired into my fog light switch and you know how much trouble I was having with my compressor.

Haha... Yeah man... I'll ditch the zip ties if you get a new switch lol

I think I'll end up taking my bed off if I lose the zip ties so I can drill through the spare tire holder and mount then on top of that... That's just me though lol

Ehat siz e tank are you using, I have a 3 gallon with 2 380s. Make sure your power for the pressure switch is an ignition only wire so it dosn't kick on while the truck is off.

thats a good question. i've got the same compressor as well. the bigger the tank, the less the compressor will be running once full.

my buddy just got 4 horns from horn blasters (2gal tank). a waste IMO

I've got a 5gal tank... One of the cheapy's from HF that only holds 125psi... I really want one of the 5gal 150wp psi tanks with a max pressure of like 300, but I can't find one for cheap and no one on here wants to get rid of theirs... So for now, my 5gal 125psi tank it is.. I can't wait to get the comp on friday!

Thats what I'm getting, but later on when Ive got some extra $ im going to upgrade to a bigger tank and different compressor maybe. How long can he hold the horns for before they sound like crap? And how do they sound compared to yours?
