Search the off-road community websites like BLM and ORBA, they'll tell you something.

If it can be wheeled, Jeep guys usually know about it. They have some pretty tight offroad clubs. As was suggested, offroad clubs can usually tell you the good spots, and the Jeep clubs are often VERY active.

Yep. A Jeep owner told me about what is now my favorite place to get the truck muddy.

Jeff, there's an offroad park in Solon, Iowa called "600 Acres". Great place to wheel. However, if it gets a good shower, the entire place is one big mudhole, trails and all. Lots of fun if you're a 4x4 and want a lot of mud, but would be pretty hair for a 4x2. Trails, mudholes, creeks, hillclimbs. It's also open to ATV's/dirtbikes.

Supposedly the Badlands has trails for all levels, I still have not gone yet. Some guys from work go w/ their quads and said there are some easy trails, but there are many more that have buried guys on 38's.

heres a link to badlands http://www.badlandsoffroad.com/ . looking from the pics there looks like there are spots that i 2wd should be able to hit. i was there like 3 years ago with a friend looks like and awesome park to go wheeling. it would be awesome if i could ever get weekends off and we head down there and hit up the trails but its a little bit of a hike to get there if i remember its a few hours from me
