Icon5 Ranger Capacities... How much can you pack into it?

I was thinking about this, this morning when I went up to the local Home Depot to buy bags of mulch. It would be nice, to know exactly what the bed of the ranger will hold. I am not talking weight. Such as, I bought 15 bags of 2cu ft of mulch per bag as I was a bit afraid I wouldnt have enough roof for it all...

Come to find out, you can actually squeeze 22 bags into the bed of the ranger...

thats 22 bags of 2cu ft of Mulch....

How much cord wood can you squeeze into the bed?

I ask this, only because its 'good to know' information... and for many of us, when shopping with the ranger, it would make shooping easier, by knowing exactly how much would fit...

If I knew, 22 bags would fit, I would have bought 7 more bags instead of having to back to the check out counter - again, to buy 7 more... would have saved me time...

You can also pack about 350 bricks into the bed of your ranger, However you need to watch your weight limits... as you dont want to overload the truck... Id say 300 bricks, - normal sized bricks at a time... bigger than normal bricks, adjust as necessary. However if you have alot of bricks to move, it may be worth getting a trailer or making several smaller trips....

So how much of what have you stuffed 'safely' into your ranger?

I put 1 ton of gravel in the bed once....there was room for more but as I'm sure you all know that it was well beyond what the ranger wanted to haul.

I've pulled a Fullsize chevy 1500 with my truck on a 1200 lb trailer before haha. It cruised nicely. Other than that in the bed I put about 15 bags of water softner salt in it and had plenty more room to spare. Except it weighed around 1200 pounds lol.

33 bundles of shingles and 3 rolls of ice and water. Also, on a different occasion, all the material for an 8' x 20' pressure-treated deck, including the concrete for the footings.

Last year FMD said his "mechanic" told him his ranger could haul 4,000 lbs in the bed of his truck. Like jtslmn said: not this **** again.

Well, with my 3 inch body lift even, the bed wanted to rub the wheels/tires and my hitch rode only a few inches of the ground. Luckily I didnt have to go much more than a couple miles. My lttle 3.0 / 5speed wouldnt have made it much further

The question is what can my Focus wagon hold that my Ranger can't
All the polls for a Cover-it 1 car tent. Picked one up for a buddy and used the Ranger and brought it to my house. Had to leave the tailgate open because the pole box was just that much over 6'. Started raining so I loaded it into the Focus just to see and after moving the front seat up a tad bit I was able to close the hatch.

I put about 30 or so cinder blocks in it. The overflow my 5'x7' trailer could not hold.
King size bed with box spring, laying flat.

I've had my bed filled to the rails with pool sand. Wasn't any major squating. Just enough to level it out.

25 bales of hay at 60+ lbs per bale. I did it 5 times... one of those times I lost 23 of the bales on the road... that was not fun.
