I dont know if i cant post this, but tonight i WHOMPED this ricers ***. It was so hilarious, cause here I am in my mostly stock engine and 33 inch mud tires and i pull up to a light with a hardcore riced out civic hatchback with the huge tach on the dash, body kit, stickers, and all that other ricer ****.
I rev my engine at him and try to stare him down, so he doesnt look at me but I know its on, light turns green, hit the gas and im gone. he even tries to squeal his tires in first AND second. I could even here his blow off valve going off. I beat him by about 1.5 car lengths. then I turn around and wave at him.
This whole ricer thing where people think civics are fast has just got to end!
ranger 1- ricer 0
lol

I wouldnt mind a a Civic, or other import. I would probably hot rod it but I wouldnt think its 'fast'. Same thing I do in my truck... I hot rod it but its nowhere near 'fast'. I bet all the muscle cars that really are fast just laugh at us too... It all comes around. Even if we are fast we are still in a truck... I would rather be fast in a car then a truck... I wouldnt mind a civic... almost got one... wish I had at times. Truck runs though so thats good

I think I remember seeing mid to low 15's with the stock SVT focus, depending on driver and R/T.
That's about dead even with the new Sentra SE-R Spec V models that we're testing at Nissan.
A stock focus runs mid to high 17's, and a stock focus juiced with a 75 shot ran a 14.9XX in MM&FF Magazine.

Here's a quote:
"Horsepower per liter means nothing, when a car with lower specific output but more total horsepower is beating you! A stock VTEC Integra has specific power well above a stock Mustang Cobra, but in an acceleration contest, the less "efficient" Mustang Cobra will win. On the street, small engines only provide the loser with an easy excuse. What will the Honda owner do after losing? Whip out his calculator, punch some keys and tell the V-8 owner, "You won, but your engine has lower specific output than my highly superior Integra!!!" "
305 horsepower > 195 horsepower

My stock 2002 Accord Sedan can beat more than half of the trucks on this side off the line or on a road course, LIL BLUE included. The 3.0 in that think sings and pulls all the way to 110 MPH. 195HP, front wheel drive, and only weighs 3400 pounds. Watch out for the 2003 and newer ones as they have 240 HP and 212 pounds of torque. Honda makes a great motor, but I do worry about the transmission. That was cured for 2003 when they put in a new true 5 speed slush box. It's funny when a truck (not a performence machine) pulls up along side me and tries to take me off the line. Too much non-moving static mass to compete against a smaller faster machine.
