Ranger seat options

Hello to everyone. I am new to this site. I do not at this moment own a ranger but am looking to buy one (yea, so I lied in the registration) ( I do own a Sport Trac Adrenalin though) anyway I have a question regarding interior seat options. I am looking to buy a 2001-2005 ish I have seen interior pics of the standard 40/60 bucket seats on most models. I have also seen true bucket seats with real center console on some. I am unable to determine which model this option is available. Can anyone clue me in on the seat option. Thanks for any response and sorry about that lie thing!

Not an expert, since I had the 60-40 split up until last night, but I think the FX4 level 2 had the option for buckets. Explorer seats are also an easy swap if desiring a much more comfortable seat

Thanks. You may not be an expert but your input is 100% more than I received to this point, so again thanks.

01 buckets were fx4 only, 02-03 fx4 level 2 and select tremor models I believe and 04-05 fx4 lvl 2 and tremor again. I think you could option the buckets into just about any thing and it's a common mod and swap. So you may see them I'm other trim levels. If your in the northwest I have a set of gray leather explorer seats sitting in my shop

Thanks for the info. What do people do for center console if they do a seat swap rather than having the factory option? And, as I have now started trouble :-) are there any issues that I need to be aware of 4x4 Ranger wise in general. Thanks again for the input, it's most helpful. I own six cars and have owned almost 100 in my lifetime (I'm old) but have never owned a Ranger.

Most people use the full length center console from an explorer or the shorty console from an explorer

the explorer consoles bolt in. you can chose the short console or a full length search for explorer console swap and you will find lots of pics.

as far as issues, depends on year but most are very stout, the 3.0 has a few issues but not anything major, depending on what your looking for the 4.0 or the 4 cylinder are the way to go. all cars have quirks as you know so be prepared for some maintinece

If you can find an Eddie Bauer explorer at the junkyard they have awesome leather seats with power options and will swap right in.
