When u do it would be a great time to write up a how-to on installing a locker. I plan on getting one next when $$$ permits

he's getting an arb, and by the looks of it a shop is doing the install..

an arb is a full carrier so you gotta set up gears, then you have to drill (and tap?) the housing..

i think it comes with a new bearing cap for one side? or does that have to be drilled too?

Yeah if he didn't install his BL I doubt he'll be installing a locker.

Your truck it sweet as it is. Good choice in buying a locker instead of the lift.

I would rather pay someone that does this **** everyday that is confident in their work, than me try to do it and fucck it up or it fucck up down the road. People bring their jewelry to me for that very reason.

I don't understand why your getting an ARB, from what I've seen you don't do that hard core of wheeling. (I'm not meaning this to offend you btw), have you locked at a lock-right or something like that? Its like a third of the cost and for what you do I think it would work just fine.

ARB!??? wtf??? for that wheeling??? wtf.

if you want a locker...get an aussie. you'll still need an open carrier since you can't put an aussie in a limited slip carrier like the torsen. you'd be doing exactly what i do. question....do you really even need to lock it??

mark, stfu. As for you jeweler, im pretty sure you've made your decision. Don't lift it anymore. You'd be building a money pit. I like the idea of a locker though.

We are totally cool shane... the reason for the ARB?????? I got it for 150 bucks, I have a close friend who wrecked his twin stick 2003 fx4 and we parted it out, i still have to spend about another 200 on other stuff and 4wheelconcepts to install it but the locker is sitting here in my garage... waiting....

As for offroading.... trust me i put the ole fx4 threw some serious ****, i just don't ALWAYS bring my camera...

Nope, I see 4wd on a truck as a waste of money, I dont need it. Why pay for it when i dont need it and the extra maintainance to boot.

Why would I beat up a daily driver when I can just load up the rhino on the trailer and go beat on that in the woods?

He has a mortgage to pay for. Maybe can't afford a $10,000 dollar toy. But at least he doesn't live at home still.
