i have a 02 ranger edge and would like a larger gas tank.
does anyone know if the tank from a extended cab would bolt in with the fill and pump being in the right spots. ive heard they are larger.
thanks.

I know my 02 edge has the 19 gallon tank. I'm pretty sure all the edges came with the 19 gallon tank...

Yeah all Edge's came with the same gas tank. How are you measuring how big your gas tank is? Maybe your gauge is off and not the tank.

Well that is the first time I have heard of a smaller gas tank in an Edge. However, if you do have a smaller gas tank I would assume that a 19 gallon gas tank from another edge would be a direct swap

^This!

Factory fuel gauges are very conservative when it comes to the gas tank fuel level. I've heard that once the fuel light comes on, you have about 30 miles before you actually run out. That goes for just about any vehicles on the road.

As long as I understand V6 has bigger tanks, but its more related with the engine not with the cab size.
