It really is a small world (my old ranger)

So, Monday rolls around and my coworker Tim comes in the office.

"Hey, that Ranger you sold. The guy lives across the street from me."

Lol, small world isn't it? So, I give the guy my number and he calls me to talk. He thought I was alot younger than I am and was scared I beat the truck. He's a 46 year old married guy that works for a metal works company. He hunts but says the truck won't see much hard offroading since it's so "cherry" lol. I wished him luck and told him if he needed any info on it to call me. The dealer has every service record that I had photocopied so it's all good on that end. I did try to sell him my light bar set up but I don't think he took the bait. Oh well, at least I can still go visit my baby now that she's gone ;p

Oh, the guy lives about 15 minutes from me.

That's Cool! I still see my 01 Around town! It sticks out like a sore thumb with and edge valance and chrome bumper. The guy who bought it's name is Juan and uses it as a truck, he does a little side farming and sells at a roadside stand. Now if I could just locate my Roadmaster I sold in High school!

Ha ha, yes! Get him to join.

Also -- does he know you used to show it and get awards on it? That might make him even happier with it.

I agree. It it hard enough to watch somebody else drive my truck, let alone own my truck.

Oh believe me, I dropped the Ranger-Forums.com bomb to him. His answer was "I don't even have a computer, I stay away from the internet." I just chuckled.

hmmm....my old truck is Marcs01EDGE now....

This kid pissed me off. First thing he did was take off the Gibson SS, and he cut it to pieces and dumpstered it. He swapped the Baja wheels and Revos off, and put them in the barn where they got stolen. The only thing left, is my GE decal, and my EDGE windshield decal...

Yah, I seen my old ranger once, and it was an odd feeling see it. Its like your past vehicle will always be a part of you somehow.

i saw my 03 in a parking lot at the local home depot, and finally caught the guy one day. an old guy, probably in his 60s, asked me a bunch of questions about it. he had the exhaust removed and the deal pieced together some crap that was a little quieter, and then an add a leaf spun out and trashed his tire. i had hose clamps on them so that wouldnt happen but the dealer took them off. the guy still calls every once in a while with a question
