Every time I see it, I just think of a pig. I just think its dumb they molded the really square nose on it, but left the old rounded wheelwells and body.

solid axle and 40's Id pimp that thing all over the place. be a wicked camp rig. I hated the new body stile at first but now they are growing on me like a bad weed

 

the new '08 econoline vans front end gives it a "mean, rugged appearance" i like it.

 

it's alright. With the body though, definite lift with at least 35's -Mike-

 

Ugly as sin! I just di an Install on a Van that had that front and it made me sick. Not that it matters though Ford has never really made an attractive van. Then again I really don't like vans at all. The only good van ever made was this van:

Prob the only way to get the new diesel in them.

 

yeah.. that van platform is like a billion years old, i dont think a facelift makes it seem otherwise, they need to completely revamp the E-Series IMO. I think it and the crown vic are tied in the oldest platform that Ford has right now.

 

Agreet the E series technologie dates back just about 30 years, and is deffinately in need of a total rehaul....but the refresh does look cool imo...

 

I like the revision. Hate the Econoline's though simply because I almost rolled one a few months back due to crappy steering components. Never drove the powerstroke version, or the v10 version, but the v8's were pretty sweet.

I've heard bad things about the Chevy's, and saw one loose an axle one time... have only seen a handfull of Ford's broken down.

^^^ Exactly, Ford sells more vans for work use then Gm and Dodge combined. Why do you think Dodge doesn't have a full size anymore? They wont redo the style because they sell them almost exclusively for work, and a bunch of mexican painters don't care about the style...

Versus the older with the hood grill l and r blinkers l and r h-lamps the finish between the bumper and lamps and then the bumper total of 8 parts!!! Too messy

 

as for the Diesel they run the old 6.0. a garbage heap in comparison to the 6.4 and they are heaps compared to the 7.3. The chassis is barely updated like the ranger and the Vic. Leave well enough alone i guess. but the modules and systems have been updated. you just dont see it under the dash or on the engines cause you still cant get to anything to work on them. all though the chassis is realy well built in my opinion. seeing them all the time and they are trailing around with over 300,000 {1 comes to the shop every 2700-3000 miles} They just like anyother vehicle last with maintenance.

 

I like the older ones better, just like the SD's. This grill won't grow on me. I have seen plenty of both in person, and I still dislike it.

There is a guy on the expedition.com or whatever forum it was that has a e-350 with the V-10, and has it modded to the HILT! It has 44's, dual self feed tanks, massive bed, seats, all kinds of stuff.

I'd buy a GMC van for sure. That is one ugly Ford van. The style is BARF.

 

I work at a rental car company.. we are actually the world leader in passenger vans.. my store alone just right now has probably 30 15 passenger vans and they are all now the 08 models.. and just comparing them to last year its a big improvment.. the seats are more comfortable.. and they actually put backup sensors on them.. which helps out a lot when you're talking about driving something that big..

and plus the customers LOVE EM

 

I like em. I think the front end makes it look like a big train.

 

they look good i've seen them on the road and i must say they look good on there..our company is about to buy another econoline e350 and with the readyvan box and it will have that front end...they look awesome
