Warped rotors at 16k?

Noticed a little shuttering from my truck a couple weeks ago getting off the highway when braking, now I'm definitely noticing shuttering big time in city driving when I go to stop, not grinding or anything but definitely notice something is not right when I brake so Its definitely a warped rotor.

Im kind of upset as I don't drive my truck that much as I have company cars most of the time and only drive it on the weekends I have owned it for 3 years going on in June and I have 16k on it I shouldn't have a warped rotor on it.

I dont drive my truck hard, with it being stick I am easy on the brakes and usually throw the clutch in or in neutral when coming to a stop and use the brakes very gently to stop to avoid brake wear.

Now im wondering if ford will cover it, got to take it down there one day and see I have a feeling they wont and call it wear and tear even though a rotor warping at 16k should not happen at all.

Even if they dont cover it you just need to get them turned.

Yeah it should be less than 50 bucks to have that done.

True, but why should I have to have that done at 16k?

Then I have to deal with packing bearings and then buying the $10 seal for them as well

Brakes are 12,000 mile or 12 months.

I had the same problem. They will probably just turn the rotors. that is what they did for me. For free, works for a while, but it will come back.

There are a lot of causes of rotor warping. There is no mileage where rotor warping should start happening.

x2... the could warp after 5,50,500,5000 or never.... it has to do if you get them hot while you drive... i have a f150 and i always had that prob and it sucks lol... it mostly happen cuz the brakes were ridden while driving, going down a hill(s) or towing... if none of those is something you do then it just happed and it could be totally random. like zach said too 12 mon. ot 12000 mi is a good rule of thiumb

A lot of times they warp after coming to a hard stop, and the hot pads just sit on the same spot heating the rotor more in one area. Especially happens on the interstate or highway exits.
