Yeah. I forgot about the gas mileage. How is it possible that an F150 with a V8 gets better gas mileage than a Ranger with a 4.0 V6? It's time for some updates guys. That being said I still love her though!

not 4x4, too low, IFS, squeaky, wobbly rear wheel, not a V8, won't shift into 2nd gear when it's too cold, needs paint, standard cab, rusted out bed, 2000 and not 2001

'05 Ford Ranger

That it is currently stuck in my driveway cause the 4x4 won't engage again and the clear coat is peeling off the bed rails

I have a 2006 4.0 4x4 manual. I ****ing hate the manual. What a piece of ****ing **** that tranny is. The master cylinder is such a ****ing **** off with it's stupid design. I had to replace it two years ago and now it's ****ed again. I have air in the lines from a ****ing leak.

Ranger Anger

What is pissing me off is the outside door handles. It is the basis for several aggravations:
1. Bad experience with eBay seller. Bought two exterior handles. When received they didn't match each other, the jerk shop owner sent in two separate shipments and made shipping cost more than the items combined. I caught it before the order processed, emailed to get one shipment and one shipping charge, the *** wouldn't do it. This is one reason people get murdered.

2. Doing project ourselves is starting to be aggravating. Removing door panel, dealing with rivets, not finding enough or any guides online or in forums, trial-and-error, awkward body positions for handicapped guy and elderly uncle to work on handles.

3. Posts in other forums have not been very much available or specific to Ford Rangers without electric door options. Should just entail removing door panel and disconnecting old handle to replace with a new one. Actually seems like there is an entire circus act to accomplish job's completion. Rats....

Yep....it's the door handles that have me pissed today. Had to replace the tailgate handle, too. I hate plastic parts!

Other than that, I like my truck!

The little bit of rust

That runs from the front bumper to the back of the newly replaced frame. Alright it's all rusted every single inch.

My old one did the same thing till I figured out the PS front caliper had one of the dual cylinders hanging up.

New front calipers solved it.

Rough idle and loose left rear view mirror. Other than that a satisfactory truck.

today i went into the shop to replace my leaking axle seal. opened up the diff, undid the cross pin lock screw to find that it had snapped in half. spent several hours trying to get it out with 2 other ford techs. ran out of time and had to put it back together and i still have a leaking axle seal.

I moved to Texas in 2010, it didn't rain much until this Spring, I've found that all of my window seals need to be replaced, I found out the hard way.

Replaced my rear window seal today. Talk about a PITA but no more water in the cab. Tomorrow ripping out the carpet. Fun fun.

Got Henry ready for winter: clay bar'd, light buff, polished, waxed
Then replaced the led mud flap lights front and rear, used the backup led's for puddle lighting

my drivers seat. The seat back feels twisted. I need to figure out why

Gas Milage would be the only problem with the 3.0L.

So Far, So Good... would ilke a Diesel, too bad Ford didn't think of that way back.
