Adventure in the snow

So I take the wannabe out today, roads were clear but back roads were a little snowy/icy. I took it out to to the hardward store with the intention of playing a little. Did I? yes but apparently Karma didnt like that.

I go to come up my driveway,Its a hill, not insanely steep but its defiantly not flat. its gravel underneath but coated in snow, no big deal I thought Ill just hit it with some speed like usual. Well after the 6th attempt I couldnt make it up

So I tried to call my brother-in-law (neighbor) but to no avail. So what did I do? I got her up as far as I could. Backed waaaay up and hit it wide open in 2nd, pretty much went sideways the whole way up the hill LOL.

I was about 2 truck lenths from the top so that sucked.

Grabbed the Jeep and the tow rope, backed down to the truck and hooked it up to where it wouldnt come undone from either vehicle. I pulled up and tightend the rope then went back and put the truck in neutral. Went back to the Jeep and pulled the truck into its parking spot.

Needless to say..... I NEED TIRES!! lol

Just thought I would share, it was defenatly an ordeal and made me a little aggervated at the time but its funny now, especially thinking of one person towing a vehicle having to get in and out in and out.

haha that is funny...

one day when i was working at the yamaha shop i borrowed a grizz 700 for the weekend... anyhoo i get home from work and the neighbour (friend of mine) stops me and asks if i would i give him a ride to his truck.. apparently he was playing around up the mountain and going off the trail a little bit up a sand hill got it high centered so he walked home (about 1km to the paved road then about 300 yards down the road to his house) he jumped in his early 90's exploder drove up the mountain left the truck shut off and in gear (he was by himself) and pulled it off the hill then drove the expo back home and needed a ride back to his truck.. i laughed... we unloaded the quad, we left his truck there at the hill, he drove my truck home and i followed him on the quad, then we doubled on the quad and i took him back to his truck and we played around for a while. it was fun...

there's nothing worse than pulling a vehicle with another one by yourself.

Cool story... sideways action is always fun when you don't hit anything.

I agree, but theres an old broken down F100 right beside the driveway so I went past it, uphill, but the nose of my truck was pointing right at the old truck so i was like "please dont get traction, please dont get traction" lol

Been there done that. My driveway is about 600' long with a moderate incline up to the street. I've had to fire the tractor up a few mornings to drag my 2WD work truck out of the driveway.
