these are the same seats i pulled out of a '96 ranger xlt in the junkyard last week... id like to know what those metal tracks are, that extend back out of the seat.. that the seatbelt goes on.. they bolt to the floor too. also, how do i wire these up? there was a 2 wire plug going to each seat. my '99 with the 60/40 does not have any wires going to the seats. do i have to run wires or are the wires under the carpet already?

thanks

Those are exactly like explorer seats, I see you even have the busted handles that all of them have.

I have those seats in a 94 ranger xlt tan outside and inside. They are pretty nice too, but i really like my lvl2 seats cause they are way more firm.

My handle finally broke after 14 years, I need to have it spot welded back in place, just gotta find 5 minutes at the local shop and it's fixed.

I bought a set of leather explorer seats before my Sport Tracs and the handle was broken on the drivers side. I went through an entire yard and only found one drivers seat that didn't have the broken handle, and was able to grab it. It seems like a very stupid design, and I might beef up the new latch/handle before I install it. I probably shouldn't care as I'm just going to sell them anyways now.

I believe they do. I have a set of Explorers and Sport Tracs (both power seats) and they'll move just as far forward as my old non power extended cab Ranger seats did.
