How is the level 2 different than my ranger ? Is it just gear ratio , lsd and a few bells and whistles. I have a 2010 sport 4wd supercab. It seems to have come stock with lots of under belly armour, 16 inch rims, good tires and shocks. The level 2 seems to be alot more dollars than mine. Why?

ok... are rangers and exploders blowingup 28 spline 8.8's? I am running a 28 spline 8.8 in my mustangs as well as countless others launching good and hard on slicks lifting the front tires. why do exploders need 31 splines?

a Level II has to have more than just 31 splines to model up vs the lower model rangers

 

it does...the lvl2 has a torsien lsd while the lvl1 fx4 has a trac-lok, they have a special color interer.special seats...alcoa wheels,better shocks and in 02-03 a manual shift tcase...and as metioned the 31 spline axles

 

Plus the tow hooks, there actually is quite a bit of difference!

 

They have a bunch of stuff the "Level I" doesn't.

Most of it was option differences though. If you look at a FULL loaded Level II after 06 they are SOOO nice.

Only Ranger you could get leather seats in.

i dont think they made the level 2 in 2010. on the canadian ford website you cant even add the 4.10's with a limited slip on the 2010 models.

 

no the FX4 is dead here in the states...and the canadian fx4 is just a renamed u.s sport model

 

I had an 02 xlt 4x4 offroad (same as the 03+fx4 'level1') and currently own an 03 level 2.

among already listed, the l2's also had bilstein shocks...

also, my 02 didnt have the front skid plate, but on the newer trucks (10+) it appears to be included on the sports

 

the canadian FX4 is an FX4 its just not the FX4 level 2

 

thats so weird. you factory leather seats are white! i've only ever seen them in black.

you sure they haven't been reupholstered. i mean the leather isn't even the right color for your interior.




don't forget some 02-03 level IIs had pebble stone interior.

 

They're actually light grey. My door panels, dash, seats and headliner are light grey. The seats just seem lighter in the picture.

By the way, I had a reprint of the window sticker done by the dealership when I bought it since I bought it used (less than a year old w/12k miles) and it does have the leather seating option on there. So they definately are the stock seats. I do wish they were black though.

 

level 2s also came with the 31" bfg a/ts stock as well.

 

you could have got an 07 sport RWD with the leather seat option.

 

manual shift arms are legit polished with a nice lookin ****

 

I think its only 02. My 03 (and all the ones ive seen for that matter) have the blue/red inserts

Really, no its not. Its the same thing as the US Sport version with FX4 stickers on it. If you look at the 06-09 Canadian FX4s, they dont look like the 2010+ FX4s becasue they are not the same.

Sure its the same truck BUT:

06-09 FX4:

-Usually two toned
-Had Grey Plastic Fender Flares

The Canadian Sport still had the colormatched fender flares in those years.

the 2010+ FX4s are none other than packages on the sport. They are basically fully loaded Sports. You can still get the Alcoas on them, you cannot do that in the states.
