What's it worth?

I would not sell the ranger and get a jeep. I sold my 2005 level 2 and bought a 2006 Wrangler 6 speed I6. It was awesome initially, but then came the lift, 33x12.50s, gears, dual tops etc.. and all the b.s. that goes along with it. I missed my ranger except for when the doors and top were off. Then the doors and top started staying on and I tried going camping in it. That sucked, not enough room for me and the lady. Manul 4x4 lever was great, except that it jammed and was less reliable than the ford **** imho. It then became a weekend vehicle, but the gas was awful. 12mpg was good. I couldn't carry anything in it, they are awful in the winter because of the short wheelbase (don't believe me? Try it...lol) and they tow 2000lbs. Thats what my Subaru forrester tows! After 4 years of being part of the "jeep thing" it was done for me. I loved going off road, but how often do I do that? From someone who has done the same thing you are thinking of doing, here I am with a 2006 XLT Ranger after selling the awesome Jeep that after 4 years I put less than 50000 miles on it where I put around 20k a year on the suby. If its an experience you need, do it. If you are looking for an off road only vehicle than buy, otherwise I would not sell the Ranger for it. Me and my buddy both sold our Jeeps to come back to Rangers for the shear utility of the vehicle.

I would buy one if it had been Hemi swapped lol, that's the only thing I have heard bad about them (besides the crap Dana 35 that is every Heeps downfall) is they have like zero power.

Well... the thoughts are back again! I've been seriously thinking about selling my truck again. I barely drive it anymore and the fuel prices aren't helping matters.
My thoughts now are to just list it on Kijiji for free and see what happens. If or when it sells I'll just look for a nice used 4cyl stick Ranger to replace it. I'm still house hunting and I know no matter what I'll need a truck for moving/yardwork/renovations but I don't need what I have now and this truck is a lot of money just sitting there looking pretty.
4x4 is nice to have in the winter around here but not a necessity. Adding a limited slip diff and some weight in the back will do the trick!
So what do you all think would be a good price to sell for? I'm also wondering about selling it without the lift and all the mods as I can't see them adding much in value unless I happened to find the right buyer.

Don't sell it. I regret selling my 86 Bronco 2 every time I see one. It sat alot and I was getting married so I sold it. Got what I wanted, but still had second thoughts even with the cash in pocket. If the truck is paid for keep it for sure. If not I can see putting the money into a house. Remember you cant buy level 2's anymore...
