ummmmmm even under revs when sitting still the frame would twist.....shoot my ranger twist a bit when i rev the truck up......imagine what a 400 HP 460 would do to it...not to mention the weight of that engine...

 

sure the frame is going to twist a little under a nuetral rev but most of the twist is in suspension. if that thing is launched it will just spin. it would have to. my s-10 won't hardly even get off the line traction and i have a small block in it and alot taller and wider tires

thats def not a 302... could be a cleavland but seems to be a 429/460 judging by the location of the thermostat housing and the distributor..

and just a note on the shift light have you ever raced against something fast and very loud...? how do you know when to shift.. caint hear your own car let alone have enough time to look at the tach... so... ya

i have a shift light in my mustang, and i hardly use it but its needed.. and its auto

I was at norwalk raceway once and saw a 2000 ranger with a 460 in it and the whole firewall had to be moved back where the engine sat and I dont see that in that truck..

The 460 ranger i saw race was on stock frame it didnt twist or anything it just couldnt get **** for traction hence why it was only running 13's
