CB Antenna with a Tonneau Cover

I'm seeking a decent CB antenna, one that with work with my extang fulltilt tonneau cover without my having to punch a hole into anything. I'm leaning towards a magnetic mount but am open to all suggestions at this point in time.

I mounted a piece of flat steel onto a stake hole (used another shorter piece of steel in the stake hole and bolted the two together) and put it on there... Worked well for me, then I moved it to my tire carrier.

Where was it protruding out towards, taillight, cab, or side of bed?

hello???? ALON???? Where are you???

Get one from Alon. He's the one that makes 'em between the tailgate and the taillight. Either his mount, or mount a bracket to your bumper.

Ive got a lil wilson magnetic mount. I love it. Small enough to where when I dont want it on top of my truck I take it off and place it in my cab. I just run the window threw my slider.

Magnetic mounts are good, just make sure you get a whip version, not a full solid antenna. One nice size tree branch and its gone..

Yes. Alon makes custom brackets that mount to the tailgate. It should work (from what I've seen) with a tonneau... Send him a PM...

here is a pic from the bracket used with a camper shell

It will work just the same with a bed cover. Ive got two brackets made up right now, just need to trim one side, drill the holes and paint em.

One is already sold so let me know if you want the other.

here are some more detailed pics

I'm aware of this mount, and am considering it, but am still seeking more suggestions.

eh, don't want to deal with the tailgate and mounting it to the bumper, plus antenna may get in the way. Same reason is why I am leaning against Alon's mount.

Have any closeups of one of them? This may work...though the issue with cutting the bumper is at odds with me... hmm, decisions decisions. More photos help.

I rerouted my wire through the stake hole...a lot of people go through the tail light or just feed it between the tail gate where the mount is...

btw pending onwhat kind of tail lighs you have you may have to notch them alittle to get the cb antenna wire through. Mine hade enough gap to wear I just slid it right through not cutting anything!
