Questions about cranking t-bars..

HI R-F,

I got a quick question about cranking the t-bars. I noticed when I had them cranked for awhile it was a pretty nice ride, not too stiff. The only issue I saw with cranking them is my tires were starting to wear unevenly on the inside part of the tire. Seemed like the t-bars cranked made the tires sit at an angle kind of. Anyway I wetn through a few sets of tires and every single one was wearing all f-upped :( I had to keep rotating them to get more life out of them.

Since then I have cranked them back down to the orignal spot and I really want to crank them back up again is there any kind of aftermarket cam kit or torsion key I can put in there so it doesn't over crank and start making my tires jacked up?

thanks in advance.

Did you install a cam kit and have the front end alignment checked after cranking the T-Bars?

Where can I get an aftermarket cam kit? Is it like a torsion key? Or do I just over crank them and install a cam kit? The reason I ask is I did try to get it aligned after my torsions were already up and they couldn't get it perfectly aligned, it was always off by a few.

Please advise.

They are installed in the upper control arm bushings. Any reputable alignment shop should be able to get them and install them for you. I know Fabtech list them as well as MOOG.

And these will straighten my tires out once torsions are cranked?

They did mine...But I didn't get too radical with my crank. I set them just a little over stock, just enough to level out the truck. Heres some info on setting the ride height...

Anytime you mess with the front suspension ride height you need to go get the alignment checked. Mine was off after I cranked mine.
