Removal of Nokia Car Kit

Hi Guys,
Hope I got the right forum here, I have an 08 Ranger XLT double cab 2,5 Diesel.

I was removing a Nokia Car kit from the Ranger that was fitted when I bought it as an extra. I popped the radio out as per normal by removing the screws behind the heater dials.
There were 4 power cables on the phone kit, A red, yellow, black line that were wired into the connector at the back of the Radio system. (Radio is one with integrated Hazard light switch and the heating switches. )
The blue wire was linked to the cigarette lighter, i snipped the wires and taped the ends. Im assuming this was an ignition sensor which powered up when the key was turned. When I put the radio back in (there was 1 white plastic and 1 antenna connection, as well as the hazard lights and heater controls) the radio didnt start up, in addition the internal lights and remote door lock are not now working.
I checked the fuses underneath the steering wheel, all seemed ok, I am concerned that I may have blown a fuse or else need to do something internally?

Any suggestions and thanks in advance for any help, figured might as well ask before heading to the auto electrician!

Do you have another fuse panel under the hood? I would check there to see if anything is blown. If you don't find anything. I would hook up temporarily whatever you took out to see if it fixes it. On second thought that diesel truck is probably garbage I'll take it off your hands if you like! :)

Yea, i rewired it with no joy. Will take a look under the hood. Seems a bit weird alright. Anyone got any other suggestions?
