getting my chip or at least oredering it!

i am ordering an x cal 2 from doug over at bama chips.... any ideas on what i should tell him to tune it like? thanks in advanced!

Depends on what octane is in your area, 87, 89, 91 or 93 and you can have either peformance, torque and for some reason economy comes to mind. I run 93 torque all the time and love it.

i need to order one............i would get it tuned for performance or torque....

You have three different programs available when you order it, you have to specify which ones you want. So you can program it with any of the three tunes whenever you want.

not sure about your 4.0L, but I just got one for my 2.3L/manual and the gain is amazing! I got a 87 performance, 93 performance and a 93 torque tune. I have a k/n fipk intake and gibson exhaust and when I tried the 87 performance tune, I noticed a slight differance, with the 93 performance tune I noticed a HUGE differance, with the 93 torque tune I really couldn't tell a differance between it and the 87 performance. I am getting rid of the 93 torque tune and replacing it with a 89 performance tune so I can give it a try. The increase in power that I got with the 93 performance tune is a ton more than I ever could have expected. Everyone's vehicle is different depending on the engine/mods, but I highly recommend the Bama-Tuner.

thankx, if you can notice a big gain in a 2.3 L, i'll notice a gain in my 4.0 l. I noticed a little gain with the K&N cold air intake.

You may also consider a better flowing exhaust, if you don't already have on. When I put mine on, I seemed to help it rev a bit quicker and gave a very slight improvement in MPG.
