Got my Silverstar Ultras installed

Finally found the right ones! Sylvania Silverstar 9007 Ultras. Advance Auto Parts has them for $35.88 - great deal!!

I can't tell at all how much brighter they are yet because its so bright outside, but I can tell right now they're not as blue as I'd hoped. They're only a little bit whiter than the stock halogens. The Silverstars aren't yellow like stock, but they definitely aren't a true white. This is just by looking at it in the garage in the daylight, so maybe it'll look different tonight.

But I hope I'm happy with them. I'm keeping my Xenon blue foglights.. they don't really match as well as I'd hoped either, but maybe at night the colors will sort of even out.

Anybody else using the Silverstar Ultras? What do you think?

-Steven

For that price you could get the new Phillips Crystal Vision. They are 30% brighter and very white. I just put them in my car. But I had silverstars in my truck and they were great.

I forget what they are called... I got them at Wal Mart for $45, and these lights use the same frequency of light as the sun does, so in the sun, you can't see them, but in overcast / nighttime, there's a huge pool of sunlight in front of my truck. It's great. :D

I was asking the same question over in the other Ultra thread, but never got an answer. My Silverstars are so nice, I can't see how it's possible for the Ultra's to be any better.

Sylvania claims they're 30% better and have longer life than the regular Silverstars.

Well I drove with them late last night. They are a good shade of white - not any blue in them that I can see. I didn't think they were amazing like some people have led me to believe as far as performance, but they're still good.

I may have just been seeing things, but is there a chance I need to align the headlights to point more inwards? For some reason I was thinking the lights were pointing just a tad outwards away from the truck instead of more straight ahead...

No pics of the fogs, not sure if I'll have time to take one soon, but i'll try. But my fogs are definitely blue. When I'm driving at night on a real dark road I can cut off the big headlights and have just those orange running lights and fog lights on - its blue!
