"Line Of Fire" guys - Chime in here...

So I bought an APC scanning Line of fire. The one thing that makes me scratch my noggin aboug it is that when I have the running lights on and hit the brakes it...

1 goes from 'half bright' to full bright (like it is supposed to, when I hit the pedal)
2 goes out completely, when i release the pedal
3 goes back to 'half bright' about 1/2 a second later...

shouldnt it go from half bright, to full bright, to half bright?

I called the company and thier technical service guy thinks this is related to design, as I am not sure if mine is defective.

Can anyone else let me know how thiers works? Does it go completely out when you release the brakes, and take a 1/2 second or so for the 'half bright' mode to come back on.

Besides that I really like it.

yeah I know how thats "supposed" to work.

I should have just gotten a simple LOF instead of this APC one.

LOL - it was the only one I could find that would scan left to right, and also did not have amber LED's (I wanted everything to match my L1224Rs)
