Ranger Steering Box

Right. I like the old Ford 78-79 boxes, but they're too hard to come by in good shape and expensive to rebuild. I've got two of them and consider myself lucky. They can be had, but they're not plentiful enough to suit me.
The Yota box isn't as strong -- but if you put a ram on steering box strength matters less.

the Ranger box or the Isuzu box
I found this on Explorer Forum:
This is an FJ-60 steering box. The guy said his stock steering lines bolted in without modification. He also says you can use an Aerostar steering shaft to go between the wheel and the steering box. This box looks pretty beefy like the F-150 boxes.

i bet you guys with the '98+ doing the SAS's wish Ford would have kept the larger frame horns like in the '97 and older Rangers....This is the passanger side, the driverside doesn't have all the holes in it:
