? about adding lights

hey whats up i have the factory fogs with the switch on the radio bezel. id like to get come hella lights or something like that. my question is can i run the lights off the factory switch along with factory fogs??? will the factory wiring be ok if i was to just tap into it? can i just buy a bigger relay ect? or do i need to wire them up totally separate. thnaks in advance!!!

here are the factory fogs im talking about that i would just tap into. to run them off the factory switch. obviously in the lower valance

Ive got hella 500s on mine... The relay trigger wire that would normally attach to the high beams would be hooked to the fog light circuit the if you just want it switched to the fog light switch instead of hooking up the hella switch connect those two wires together so it will come on when the fogs are turned on.

keep the hella's on a seperate switch. besides, hella kits come with the wiring and switch/ relay.

I'd get a explorer bezel and run both facotry switches for both sets of lights, looks cleaner and no holes in the dash when you get rid of the hellas...

thing to keep in mind, never just add a bigger relay to a certain circuit... the wire size is what limits how many amps you can use, not fuses or circuit breakers. You go to a bigger fuse/CB if you have upgraded the wire size

I would wire them up with a separate relay if you are gonna use the same switch. I have 4 55W lights wired up to my fog switch on their own relay and have yet to have any problems.
