So I did the blinker mod...

...And now my dash lights don't work. Everything that the manual says runs through the #11 fuse doesn't work, but the fuse is not busted.

Any ideas?

Check fuse 33 in the underhood fuse box. That is what powers the nighttime dash illumination. It also powers the corner markers where you were doing the mod.

Fixed er. I'm a big idiot. After I did the mod I decided to clean the inside the truck even tho it was -8 outside. But ya I hit the dimmer switch all the way down while I was cleaning it. DOH! ah well nothing better then a quick easy solution, haha. Thanks for the replies guys!

alright... i need help, lol.

i followed the how-to posted above.. but didnt notice that he disconnected the black wire at the corner and put the jumper wire in place.. i simply connected the jumper and left the black as is... welll, yeah, something went wrong, lol. i have no turn signals or 4 ways (go figure). all bulbs still light up when the headlights are on, but nothing will blink. is it the relay? if so.. where's it at, and what should i get to fix it/replace it? thanks!

Try that. And what some others said above that, reverse what you did and see if that helps.

i know exactly what i did wrong, and it's already been fixed/taken care of. i just wasn't sure of which fuse to replace.. or if it was going to be a relay, or what.. but thanks for finding bob's post, ill go check that now.

i don't have a fuse in 33, lol (im guessing it's different for my 01). anyways... i checked every mini fuse in the underhood box, and none of them looked bad.

Underhood box? I don't know if thats different but the one in your dash. Open your drivers door and right there on the side of the dash thats parrell with your side mirror. Check that one.

yes the under hood box, in the engine bay. i figured that's the one Bob was talking about since he mentions it in that quote you posted.

im about to go look at the fuse box inside the truck, but first gotta find out what fuses are what. i don't have a manual so i'm tryin to look around on here right now, lol. i may just do the same thing i just did to the other fuse box and just pull all of them and check them all. first ill look around on here for a few mins though.
